Registration has opened for the 2010 Disney Marathon. I ran this in 2008 and it was a lot of fun.
http://disneyworldsports.disney.go.com/dwws/en_US/events/eventDetail/detail?name=WdwMarathonDetailPage

They have a half marathon on Saturday and a full Marathon on Sunday. If you are Goofy you can do the Goofy Challenge and do both of them.

The people that have expressed interest are
Anthony-Goofy
Joe-Goofy
Morgan-Marathon

Anybody else want to go. It really is a fun weekend.

I'm not a trainer but from my experience and from what I've read, 20 weeks of running 3-4 times a week is enough time to train for a marathon if you start in little or no running shape, grant it you are in some kind of shape, though.  Tongue

the first couple weeks you build up to a 5k, then by the end of the month 10k
at the end of the 2nd month you should be able to run a half marathon
3rd month a 30k
4th month plus 2 weeks taper you're ready for the full marathon!  Grin

I'm trying to get ahold of my sister because she wanted me to do it with her! And we can all go ride rides after... well, if it's open after.
