I was wondering who would be up for a day trip to Austin to ride a few of their trails.  I was thinking of going on the 28th of Feb.   The trails would be....1) the greenbelt   2) walnut creek and if time permits....muleshoe.  we could pack a couple of vehicles, share the gas costs and have a blast.

That sounds so freakin' awesome!!  I have to get back with you. I work on Saturdays.  Sundays are better for me, but I need to ask the "Sergeant Major" first.

Sounds fun, but I think I will be racing that weekend.  Why don't you take a day trip up to St. Jo instead?

This sounds great, but I will be running at ConocoPhillips Marathon on that day. Time conflict....

im going to keep pressing Blake here at work. I will also beat up on Izzy and Trey to go.  My buddy Clayton and Joe in Austin said they might like to join us. That would be a good group. Hopefully more takers speak up and join us.

I have never been to MuleShoe before.  I have been to Walnut Creek, Greenbelt and City Park.  What is it like and how far is it from Austin? (if it is even out of the city)
I have to have "Mangia" Pizza though.  Every time I go to Austin I have to get a Large Carnivore (white).  MMMM...I can't finish it all so I will share.

Carlos...i just cannot comment.   Muleshoe is about 30min outside of Austin if you take hwy 71 west. Fun place to ride its very fast, a few minor tech places but keeps the heartrate up. Kind of like coldspring.
