Hey guys my name is Adrian Trevino and im a new. I've only been cycling for the past 6 months or so. I attended the meeting on 2/19/09 I just thought I should make an intro and use the forums. I'm sure down the line i'll probably ask some dumb questions so you'll have to excuse me for those right now haha. I currently have a Schwinn Prelude as in intro bike and an older MTB but im investing in a Trek 1.2 for this years MS150. I like to ride road bikes more than mountain but im definitely up for any kind of ride.

Hey Adrian,
welcome again, and I was wondering why you had your sites set on the Trek 1.2?  Would you be open to a Specialized?  Something like an Allez Sport or an Allez Double.  You can also pm me all your questions or post them on here, remember, there is never a dumb question....unless your name is Trey.

I can definitely make Tue/Thurs night rides. My classes end at 5:30 on Tue/thurs and work doesn't get in the way. As far as my choice of bike I liked the overall features they had to offer and I couldnt turn away from the price I got. And im sort of in a $400 hole, the bike is already half paid. And I started to put money on this bike before I even knew of the team  and the discount Undecided

Howdy everyone Smiley My name is Christine and I'm a new member (yay!). I actually didn't know about this team until Adrian saw a banner for it in the UH rec and so I came with him to the meeting and decided I wanted to join, too. So I don't know what all I'm supposed to write on here, but I have been riding bikes all my life.. but it's been very casual riding. You know the expression "you cant ever forget how to ride a bike"? Well I kind of forgot once. I mean I knew the motions but I fell every chance I got and I couldn't stop the bike without running into somebody. Granted, it had been about 7 years since I had ridden a bike AND it was in my mom's country where the land is NOT flat like it is here, so that made it so much harder. But I got the hang of it and here I am Smiley So yeah that's my introduction  Grin

This thing is so cool! I can do a scrolling marquee.. HOW AWESOME!
Cheesy And yes I am a very cheesy person. Adrian can attest to that.

You will fit in perfectly, welcome to the club!  Hopefully the cowboys and girls will get out of memorial park soon so we can all get a ride going.

Christine,

Blake is right, you will fit in perfectly!!!  Can't wait to see you.  The women ride on Monday's 3:30pm to 5:30pm but I am out at MP most nights during the week (except for Tuesdays and Fridays).  If you are out there and you see me (big ass, UH uniform, White Giant Brand Bike) flag me down!  Can't wait to see you at Tunis!
