Here is a preliminary schedule from discussions at the conference meeting this weekend:

•   Mountain Bike Season
•   TX STATE – Texas Hill Country at Camp Eagle Labor Day weekend.  Super D Sat, Short Track (Sat Aft), XCountry – Sunday.  Large dorm rooms $10/head for bed. (AC!!!) Lisa Nye reservations for rooms.  Special camping for colleg. Not so far away.  Bring swimsuit, river and swimming pool. 
•   2nd race  Huntsville, UH possible hosting?  (BLAKE???)
•   September 29th – Texas Tech ??
•   UT hosting at Comfort 26th and 27th of September. Short track, time trial, XCountry
•   October 3rd and 4th Texas A&M Conference Championships at Bar H at St. Jo, not cohosting with Lake Bryan which is the same weekend.  TT, Short track, Sunday XC.
•   Nats October 16th-18th in Trukee, CA.
•   Baylor hosting Cameron Park after nationals possibility.

wow.....only one race within an hours drive!     seriously...champs at st.jo???   great course but a good 5+ hour drive from here....no good camping spots either

Jillian and I camped at Saint Jo earlier this year...the camping spots weren't the problem but the 20 degree weather was. At least we won't have to deal with that. How do they calculate points overall? Are short track and TT included?

I like St. Jo much better than Lake Bryan.  It is not a horrible drive.

The first MTB race of the season is coming up in a couple of weeks...I was just wondering who is planning on going to this. Also, they appear to have online registration for the collegiate events, but will still register on site as usual, right?

Just a reminder here is the tentative MTB schedule:

9/5&6 – TX State co-hosting with Camp Eagle.  There will be a Super D and STXC on Saturday and the XC on Sunday. - CONFIRMED
9/12 & 13 – UH co-hosting with Huntsville Classic.  At this time this will be a XC event only. - CONFIRMED
9/19 & 20 – SFA hosting an event to include Dual Slalom, STXC and XC
9/26 & 27 – UT hosting an event at Comfort. Events  include STXC, TT and XC - CONFIRMED
TBD – TTU wants to host a weekend event, but have not confirmed the date.
10/3 & 4 – TAMU hosting Conference Championships at the Bar H Ranch, St Jo, TX.  Events include STXC, TT and XC. - CONFIRMED
10/16 – 18 – Collegiate MTB Nationals at Lake Tahoe CA
11/7 & 8 – Rocky Hill, Smithville.  This race is open if any school is interested in co-hosting.

talked to Matt, and it sounds like they are almost finished with the trails at SFA, so that one should be confirmed shortly.  Matt is officially a student again at SFA  Grin
