I had my front tire punctured by an object a couple of weeks back. I replaced the tube and tried to find the hole in the tire to put a patch on. Its a product I found from Park Tools and wanted to give it a shot. Well for some odd reason I couldn't find the hole until today when my tube busted again. This time I marked the hole to recognize it when I got home.

Well I seem to have lost the patch I wanted to put on the tire. I went to the bike shop earlier today but before I realized it was missing. So instead of taking a second trip to the shop I'm wondering if anyone has a temporary safe alternative that I could use.

Thanks.

Business card, dollar bill, any heavy piece of paper or a gu wrapper will work.

just remember that it's a temporary fix, go to the store and get a fix as soon as you can.

Looking for advice on how to fix my rear derailleur ghost-shifting. I've changed the chain and my cassette looks fine.  I've tried adjusting the barrel but not luck, and I'm afraid to mess with those limit screws. Any idea on how I could approach this? ...Thanks in advanced.
