So here's the plan.  We are getting 3 rooms at a motel for Saturday night.  For budget reasons, that one night is all we can do.  You have 2 options:

1.  Pay out of pocket to stay Friday night, while team covers Sat night.
If you do not wish to drive up Saturday morning to catch the 1pm race starts (approx 3hr drive), the option of pitching in your own money to stay Friday night is available.  Blake and I plan to do this, and welcome any others who would like to carpool and stay that extra night.  (this will only happen if we can get a few others to join and cut down the cost).

2.  Drive up Saturday morning; the team covers your stay Sat night.
If not, you can sleep in your own bed friday, and come meet us up either at the race course or at the motel depending on when you leave.  Again, it's an afternoon start, so you don't have to wake up ridiculously early to make the drive; the friday night stay is for your convenience only.

In either case, please make your intentions known as to what you're doing, that way we can organize a bit.  Post here in this thread, and also send an email to me including your contact information nguyen.danny@gmail.com.  Hopefully we can coordinate some carpooling here.

Motel map location info to be posted soon.

carpooling to Katy is a great idea.  i live in the north side of houston inside the loop.  about 1.5 miles north of the shepherd exit of I-10.  i have a truck that can fit two bikes but they'd have to lie down because i don't have a bar to fit them on.

Under membership on the left hand size, you can choose to become a member.  Just sign up for the collegiate license and be sure to put down Cougar Cycling as your club affiliation.

When you buy your license online, make sure you print out a proof of license, which you will use until you receive your card in the mail

hey andres, seems to make more sense for joe & i to come to katy, since we're headed west to san marcos, anyway.  joe, i live in montrose;  i have a truck with a rack, so how about i pick you up on the way out to katy?

and, jess, i could squeeze you in, if you're coming with andres.  y'all can send me addresses & digits at vanessa.stauffer@gmail.com.

i'm totally stoked, by the way.

word.
