I have been contact by Sugar Cycles to start getting a headcount of volunteers for their annual crit.  Sugar Cycles is one of our main sponsors and each year we thank them for their sponsorship by providing volunteers for their crit on the first Sunday in May.  This year the date of the crit is Sunday May 2nd from 7:00am - 12:00pm (although volunteers will need to be there earlier).  It is a great event and part of membership on this team is to volunteer at this event.  If you are a member of this team, especially if you have raced for the team, you are EXPECTED to "volunteer" for this and if you can't you better have a really good reason.  Historically volunteers have been able to race in the crit as well.

I realize that May 2nd is still a while off, but if you are currently available to volunteer for this event please email me at KGYOUNG@UH.EDU by Monday February 15th.  If you are unsure email me anyways and let me know the likelihood of you being able to attend.  If you know of anyone else who might like to volunteer please let me know that as well.

ALSO IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON RACING PLEASE INCLUDE THAT IN THE EMAIL!!!

I shall be there!  If I'm in ANY kind of racing shape, I will be racing as well.

Guys, it might suck to get up at 4am to come help out, but trust me in saying that it's a great time!

They are trying to get women's catagories this year, but not sure if it will be a success.  I will be racing and volunteering again.  It might be early to help out, but it's only one morning, sleep in Saturday.

I might race, but it conflicts with the big ring challenge so I haven't decided yet.

I really don't know what would happen that far down the road. But I will be racing if I will be here and after this volunteer.
