Hello, my name is Hannah,  I am a new student at UH and I am really interested in joining the team! Problem is, I don't have the slightest clue how! I am taking summer school for the next few weeks, so I'll be around if anyone who can help me out will be too. Thanks!

Welcome and welcome to UH.
Glad you have the interest to join. Do you have a bike?

Yes, I have a bike. It's a road bike, a Trek. It's not new, but it's not ancient or anything. It's at my house right now, I live out in Katy, so I can just drive there whenever to go get it.

there are sat rides out at the Bike Barn in Katy, off Mason. They have 3 diff speed groups and they shouldnt drop any riders.
our team rides are Tues and Thurs posted in the Road Ride section. The ride time differs, so just post if you will be up there and around what time. There is usually someone there from the team.
The loop is nice for new riders and its closed off to traffic after 5.
Just remember to stay to the right and pass on the left.

Sugar Cycles is the teams main sponsor...start to love that place Smiley

If you are interested in joining the team there are a few waivers that need to be filled out (located in the new member section) and $20 for club dues. Which would get you paid for the racing season for the semester.
Mountain bike season is in the fall and Road season is in the spring.
