Baylor has free campsites open to first come first served.

If you plan to race and need to camp let us know.

We need a head count to let Baylor know how many ppl need a campsite.

Not everyone jump at once...

There are 2 spots open provided by Baylor to set up tents. Not sure how long they will be available…

I plan on attending.  Can we please have a show of how many people plan to attend.  I would like to see if sports clubs will approve a hotel for us.

I'm interested in racing on Sunday.  I have to work on Saturday.  Trey-  I need to chat with you about getting a kit.  I emailed you.

Thanks!

So I just google mapped the park and decided to come up Saturday mid-afternoon.  Does anyone have a spot in a tent and an extra air mattress?  I might be able to scrounge something up, but I don't have gear of my own.

Let me know!

UPDATE:  We have 2 tent spots.  I will be bringing one 4 person tent.  I will be posting the location shortly when I get the info from Baylor.

Hello Texas State, SFA and UofH!

You three teams are the lucky ones allowed camping this weekend at Baylor's Cameron Park classic.  Since there is unfortunately no camping in Cameron Park, a local cyclists and all around cool guy has offered to let collegiate cyclists camp in his backyard.  His address is:

615 Baker Ln
Waco, TX 76708

He's located very close to the park so you should have no problems driving to and from the start/finish.

Please keep in mind you will be camping in his 2 acre backyard.  It's quite large with a pool and pool house but is still his residence.  Please be exceedingly respectful of the property and the Hairston family.  I'll get a thank you card for all of you to sign so find me sometime during the race.

If you could each let me know how many people (and tents) you will be brining and you're ETA i'll pass the word on to Thad.  Please limit the number of tents to as few as absolutely necessary.  If at all possible, please consider driving up early Saturday morning.  The time trial does not begin until 9:45.

In case you need it,
my cell: 832.651.9572 (please try this # before calling Thad directly)
Thad's cell: 254.495.0391

See you all soon! Safe travels,

more info from Baylor:
"Hello everyone,
A few quick notes about this weekend:
-PLEASE urge all of your members to pre-register for the event and print out their forms.   This will make Saturday and Sunday morning much easier for everyone! http://sccccreg.jrdev.net
-The start/finish for Saturday’s events (time trial and short track) is at Circle point in Cameron Park (see map here).  Parking there is a bit tricky; only officials and race organizers will be allowed into Circle Point’s access road which will be barricaded.  All others will be directed to park down the road.  The nearest restroom facilities are located either at Lawson’s Point, Emmons Cliff and Red Wood shelter.  Unfortunately, all locations are a bit of a walk (or a ride!) but construction in Cameron Park has greatly limited our choices.
-Sunday’s start/finish is much simpler!  Plenty of parking is located at Jacob’s ladder.
-Weekend omnium awards will be presented following the completion of the Men’s C race and finalization of results. There will also be a raffle afterward…I hear there might be bike pajamas…
Feel free to email or call with any questions or concerns.
We look forward to welcoming you all to wacky Waco and the fantastic trails of Cameron Park.  Safe travels!"
