I promise...I mean, you may occasionally see me on one...but never consider myself a road rider. Although, I do kinda want a fixed gear road bike...i think that would be fun...

man, it looks like we can put together a big squad this year. We just need to make sure to sign up early and under the right team name.

I'd like to join in also.... when is it???
It is going to be on April 21 & 22 if memory serves me correctly. In the past (3 years done) we've started on the last Saturday in January and train every weekend. In all years we've had a variety of fitness levels and everybody has made it to Austin with few problems. We have our unofficial start of training with the Moonlight Ramble (Oct 29 2am) simply because it's a lot of fun.

We should really have a good showing, hopefully we can set up a decent tent at the half way point.

That would be fun. Im really expecting quite a few people registering when we do that on-campus recruiting. I know there are plenty wanting to do the ride, but unsure if they can/dont have the team support to do so.

it costs $50 to register then you need a minimum of $400 in pledges http://www.ms150.org/ms150/

400 bucks is a lot of pledges. I need to start saving my pennies.
Isn't there going to be a group sign up for us soon?

I believe you still need to register on your own. It will ask "school or organization", "team name", "Team Captain". I already registered, so I put University of Houston, of course, Cougar Cycling, and left the Team Captain blank.
