You can either pay Louis (he works at the Rec) or me. When are you usually on campus?

Haha...usually Monday and Tuesday nights from 6-9. I'm old and take night classes as I work full time. Otherwise, I can meet on a Friday afternoon! Let me know. Thanks!

Meeting Recap:
-Member, new member introduction: fill out paperwork and give to Louis, or Angie.

-Club purpose: Cougar Cycling and Triathlon was founded in 2000 for the purpose of providing an outlet for amateur athletes and enthusiasts to organize at the University.  Since its creation, the club has not only helped develop students into successful cyclists, but has also created an atmosphere allowing friendships and connections to flourish.  Cougar Cycling has been proud to send riders to elite level races such as Collegiate Mountain Bike, and Cyclocross Nationals, but the excitement is just the same as a new member completing their first cycling event.  With the focus being on anything that involves two wheels, the team lends a hand to the community for events such as the yearly Elves and More bike build for underprivileged children.  The goal of the club is not to win races, but to introduce the possibilities involving cycling and triathlon to students that share the same interests.  This mentality has continued to help build the membership numbers and the on campus awareness, creating a better sense of community

-Team Rides: Currently Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Memorial Park picnic loop between the hours of 6-9pm.  Weekend rides vary and are posted on the forums.  Check the Road Rides board on the forums page (www.cougarcycling.com/forums2).

-Membership benefits: The $25 club dues get you a team tshirt, team water bottle, collegiate race fees paid, race lodging paid, discounted uniform pricing, discounts on Specialized gear (ex. helmets, shoes, gloves), discounts on Specialized bikes for active racing members, discounts on Polar heart rate monitors, 20% discounts at Sugar Cycles, and team events paid for (ex. bowling, pizza..)

-Racing Schedule (Spring 2011 Road Season): Check www.thescccc.worpress.com

-Spring Semester club event: tbd, but we should be posting something soon

That’s all for now!

Hey guys,
Good news:  I have all of the Specialized order
Bad news: They were out of the helmets that Izzy, Justin, and Andrew ordered.

Usually they call when an item is out of stock, so we get a chance to choose an alternate.  Sorry about the disappointment, but even Sugar Cycles didn't have those in stock.
