Do you guys know what the team's racing schedule is for the fall? I'd like to know the dates for the events, so I can figure out how my training program will be scheduled.

If you guys haven't worked out the schedule yet, can you get on that soon? I'm sure there are a couple riders who would like the info, so they can figure out when they need to stop building, what weeks to taper on, when their road skills need to be ready by, etc.

I second that. I checked the conference website a few days ago and nothing was on there either.

We do not need to figure out anything except when our mtb race is going to be this semester.  Our road race is going to be in the Spring.  I can't make the other teams get their stuff together, and it ends up this way ever year.  The races for the Fall usually come out late. I will let you know whenever I hear a word.

No worries then. I'll just keep checking the conference site for dates and otherwise plan on riding in a some non-collegeic races, so I have something to base my training plan off of.

Hey, you mean OUR road race is going to be in spring, right? Not all road races. Because I remember there was a poll on the conference website asking whether it's a good idea to split mtn and road races into different semester. So just want to make sure that hasn't happened.

I was only talking about our road race.  The schedule will still be mixed just like before.

The race schedule is coming together, I will post it tomorrow if Carl doesnt beat me to it.  UH is looking at hosting a crit weekend to (Danny's idea), since there are not too many road racing options for the Fall.  More on this later.

Like I said, Danny and I are working on something for this semester, but as of right now the track champs and Clifton/Baylor are the only ones set.  I have also heard that another team is working on a road race.  I will keep ya'll updated as I find these things out.  Looks like Spring semester is going to be the road intense one as SFA, MSU, UT, Tamu, and at least us are planning road weekends.

That just happened to be the same weekend that the guys came out to Austin.  Ya, we are working on doing more rides as a team outside collegiate, like the Tour of Columbus.  This still means that I want people who are willing to race, to be out at the collegiate events.  We need to up our participation.
