Please take this poll, so I will know what times the majority of the team can test, and I can reserve those times. You can vote three times, so pick the three best times. You will be testing during the week of Oct 2-8. Testing will only be available to those who have paid their dues and can train on most days of the week. If you cannot commit at least 10 hours a week to training, this service will not benefit you.

Each test will take approximately 1 hour to setup and perform. You will perform the test on your bicycle at the Trivantage Multisport Lab. I will be measuring your height, weight, and skinfolds before the test, and your oxygen consumption, blood lactate concentration, HR, and power output during the test. The actual test will last 12 to 21 minutes and you will go until exhaustion or voluntary termination. The results will be used to determine your training zones for use with your training plan.

Do not exercise on the day of the test or use caffeine, and do not do any vigorous activity the day before the test.

Please vote this week, so I can reserve the times as soon as possible. Once they have been reserved and you have scheduled with me, I will email you a complete list of pretest procedures.

I know I can't get tested anymore, but will you measure my skinfold for me?   Kiss

The times I have reserved for testing are:

Saturday Oct 7: 12-4 PM
Sunday Oct 8: 12-4 PM
Monday Oct 9: 4-8 PM

Testing will take 1 hour. Please contact me to reserve a time. Remember, if you test, I'm expecting you will train this fall and winter, so you'll be ready to race this spring. Don't disappoint me by not improving between this test and the next.

Those who have signed up, you will need to be at Trivantage at the time you have scheduled. If you're late, we will not have time to perform the test. I will send everyone a reminder on Friday of their appointment time.

Trivantage is located at 4102 Richmond Ave in Houston. Please bring the following with you:

-Your bike, preferably a road bike (You must have a slick tire on the back. No MTB tires)
-Cycling shoes
-Cycling cloths
-Sports Drink

If you do not have a road bike, or you don't have a slick to put on your MTB, you will have to do the test on our stationary bike.

Please review the pretest procedures I have attached. The key points are no vigorous exercise before the test, do not drink caffiene, maintain a high carb diet, and drink plenty of fluids. If you fail to do any of these, I cannot allow you to test. I need to see what you're capable of when you're fully nurished and rested. Data from when you're in any other condition is useless.
