Good job Angie!!! Swimming in 55 degree water, without a wetsuit?! Absolutely crazy! I can hardly swim, much less with icebergs to dodge! Hope you had a good time and congrats on going and doing it! How did it compare to the half Ironman? can we get some details?!

Haha Izzy didn't have a wetsuit either! He did well considering he trained for only two weeks.

Swimming in cold water wasn't so bad after the initial 10 minute shock. It also helped numb the shoulder pain with every stroke. I did feel it though afterwards during the bike and run after thawing off. The bike course was fun, not too brutal. Not as bad as the Austin hills.. I caught a lot of competitors during this leg, only to have them pass me back up on the run. The weather got hot, and a few girls collasped from heat exhaustion. I didn't push myself as hard as I could because of the shoulder. That's okay, I still had a good time. The half Ironman felt a lot easier since I had trained for it.  Smiley Haha, I will be ready for the next collegiate triathlon in May!
