Hi Guys,
It is time for the Spring 2011 Specialized gear order.  If you are a current member of the team, you are allowed access to the sponsorship purchase price for the following items:
S-Works helmets
S-Works shoes
Pro Road/Mtb shoes
BG Pro gloves
Romin, Toupe, or Phenom saddles

The collegiate team discount is close to 50% off.
i.e. a S-works mens shoe has a msrp of $350, the team discount will be $167.60. A S-Works helmet has an msrp of $230, but is only $110.50 with the sponsorship team discount.  These deals are really great, and you should try hard to lock this in.  Starting Friday, there will be a 2 week window to enter your order.  Please email uhcougarcycling@gmail.com with your order request.  I will put together a price quote for you, and then you will be responsible for making a payment before the April 29th deadline.  When I enter the order, there will probably be a 24 hour window when I will contact you if your item is out of stock.  You might be able to have the option of changing your order to an in stock item of a different color, and your quick response will be necessary.  If your item item is still not available, your funds will be refunded.  I apologize ahead of time, but if you do not get your payment and confirmation in before April 29th, your order will not be processed.  There have been some hiccups before, and I want to prevent those by doing this on time and in order.

Again, this order is for current team members only and will have a closing date of April 29th.  The orders usually take a week to be shipped once the order has been finalized.  I'm looking forward to playing Santa and delivering all these cycling goodies to all of you anxious cyclists!  So, don't let the time slip by, and head on over to www.specialized.com and check out their awesome gear!

Has anyone heard or experienced the differences between the S-Works shoes and the Pro Road shoes?
I'm tempted to go with the S-Works, but I don't know how good the different ratcheting system works, or if the thin cables are uncomfortable. Any thoughts?

I want to try the sworks shoes out but i haven’t had any bad experiences from the pro's to make me change my mind. The only thing that is keeping me away form it is the price. I’ve enjoyed the pro's thus far.

Not sure on that...I am really tempted on getting the lagster pro frameset, if we can get it. I think it has a track geom.

Thanks, yeah, me too. But I might be adventurous and try them out

How many people would be interested in ordering bikes?  The prices would be about 40% off of msrp.  Langsters and TT bikes are not an option.  Here are the options:

Tarmac Expert or Comp
Amira Expert or Comp
Epic and Era any model
Stumpjumper HT comp in 26" OR 29"
Framesets that are above $1000
