Houston Habitat for Humanity – Bike To Build
Here is some light info about the event:
-          Saturday, September 24, 2011
-          Start & End at Discovery Green (Downtown)
-          2 course: 10 mile or 20 mile ride
-          8:30am start time (rain or shine)
-          $25.00 Registration includes t-shirt, breakfast, route support and snacks!
-          Go to: https://sna.etapestry.com/fundraiser/HoustonHabitatforHumanity/biketobuild/
o   On the right, click “Find a Team/Participant”
o   The team name is “CR Coogs”
o   You can either “Sponsor Our Team”  or “Join Our Team” or both!
  Sponsoring the team will contribute to the donation goal!
  If you join the team, you will:
•         Create an account
•         Register to ride with the group
•         Registration costs $25.00 per rider (which also contributes to the goal!)
They could use a few more people to join their team.  We can get good points for our cycling team for riding.  Unfortunately I will not be there….

The plan right now would be for our team, CR Coogs to meet on campus at the Cullen Fields parking lot and leave for Discovery Green at 7:30.  This helps with parking, those on campus with bikes but no cars and makes a cool entrance as we roll up to Discovery Green as a group.

I imagine it would be a matter of how fast you spin your little legs.
But, it's an 830 start, only 20 miles... You should be done in time for work.

oh ya, by the way... don't be turned off by the whole fundraiser thing.
unlike ms150 or the livestrong events there is no mandatory amount you must raise.
so just punch in an amount for you goal and let it roll.
Of course if you can raise any monies that is super awesome!

hmmm, I am not riding, but the start of the ride is Discovery Green downtown... so I guess you could just look out and meet up with them from there.
