well, you still have to hit Deity first before you were even able to make super deity. That was Danny's change anyways.

I would like to do this one and it would be my first triathlon unless I do the trivadvantage one in april. I am new to cycling so if anybody could hit me up with some good workouts that would be amazing.

That would probably be Alex or Joe's job. I just run and ride when I can.

RACE LOCATION & COURSE The race will be at Pecan Park in the New Territory sub-division of Sugar Land, Texas. The man-made lake in New Territory is an ideal setting for novice triathletes as well as experienced veterans. The water temperature will be very warm-well above the 78 degree cut-off for wetsuits. The out & back bike course on Highway 90 if flat but windy and leads into a 3 mile shaded loop that ends underneath 100 year-old pecan trees.
Just in case you want to know about the course. If anybody wants in swim workouts let me know I used to swim comp in HS and have a bunch of workouts or you could go to the cougar swim club.

Is the team still planning on doing this? There might be another UH student who will join you.

I might, kind of soon though, and I have to be preparing for the road stage race so training for the run might be an issue. We will see, it would give me a chance to practice for the TT.

If I was going to do it, I wouldn't do any running to prepare. I'd just do it.

Greetings! My name is Andy Laegeler and I am a 3rd year pharmacy student at UH. I have been interested in being active in the Cougar Cycling and Triathlon Club, but am just getting around to exploring it more. I only have one more year of school left (thank goodness), so it's now or never! I have been competing in tris for a couple years and this will be my thrid Tejas. I would enjoy meeting anyone participating at this race. I am currently registered for Ironman Arizona in April 2008. I'm putting together my training plan now and would enjoy having some training buddies! I like to catch the 50m lanes at the Rec (usually 6 AM, MWF), will run early other days, and do cycling/bricks & lift in the evenings. My cycling is my strongest leg, so I would also enjoy branching out and maybe trying some racing this next year, too. You can check my racing splits in the 2006 Iron Star or the 2007 Lonestar Half events (search Laegeler, http://www.out-loud.org, http://www.lonestartri.com). I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and hope to train with some or all of you! Andy aplaegeler@uh.edu832/452-0313 (M)
