FYI. Cougar Cycling is no longer sponsored by Bike Barn, so your discount cards will no longer work.

Just to add to what I posted above about Bike Barn, we have talked to another bike shop who has agreed to sponsor us. It will be Sugar Cycles in Sugar Land. We haven't updated our website to reflect this yet, but I decided I needed to make the official announcement now, so no one would be confused. There will be a meeting soon (date yet to be determined) to discuss our reasons for changing bike shops and what we plan to do with Sugar Cycles.
To elaborate a little more on why we left Bike Barn, Bike Barn wasn't giving our team as much assistance as the officers and I wanted. That's not to say they didn't give us any support, or that their support was bad. Bike Barn gave the team some great deals on bikes, and they did many favors for us. We are grateful for that. However, there were a few additional things we wanted from them, and while we could have asked for these things, we didn't want to pressure Bike Barn into giving us more benefits than they were willing to provide. Also, since our relationship wasn't close, we felt they wouldn't mind if we just changed shops to get better deals on cycling equipment.
I don't want you to get the impression that we left Bike Barn because we were mistreated. They never mistreated us, so please don't boycott their stores or say mean things about them. Unfortunately, when I informed Bike Barn we were leaving, I did it with an email that sounded kind of cold. Since I'm a new officer and the folks at Bike Barn don't know me, they probably just think the new president is an asshole, and they shouldn't hold any grudges against you guys. Since our relationship with Bike Barn wasn't close, this break up isn't a big deal, especially for them.
That's all I wanted to add. We'll discuss the details of our new sponsorship with Sugar Cycles at the first meeting. Also, in case any of you are wondering, the Bike Barn logo will not be on the new jerseys we are ordering.

Alex,
I am currently in the market for a 2007 Orbea Orca frame. Who should I contact to purchase one at Sugar Cycles?

The shop is not actually open just yet. So, you will have to wait on that just a little bit. I will try and get you intouch with either Kyle or Rosie. But glad to see you on here Joel!
