Yeah we shall see how I do on my first triathlons. I went running after cycling yesterday for the first time and wow was that a different feeling.

Results from this weekends Lone Star Triathlon
Saturday-the race that I cared about.
9th/27 in the my division
96th/721 overall
Swim 600m- 9:21
Bike 12.5mi- 39:47
Run 3mi       25:16
Total  1:17:31
Quarter Iron man-just did it to do it
Swim 1.9k 18:16
Bike 28mi 1:42---This was the hardest bike ride I have ever done. The wind was so strong on the way out it really really sucked, and I had a flat.
Run- 6.5mi  1:03-After the bike my legs were so tired I could barely move
Total 3:06
It was a good race Sunday the Army and Navy tri teams were there preparing for Collegiate Nationals.(Maybe we could send a team there next year.) All in All I am happy with my times since they were my first triathlons ever.

Anthony, you, Joe, and Vicky should definitely do some Triathlons for UH.

Also, what were the conditions like on the bike course? Was it hilly or windy because I was surprised only one person broke 30 minutes in the 12.5 mile TT.

There is a collegiate triathlon championship usually held in Flordia.  Tamu also usually holds a collegiate catagory tri every year.

For Tri's there are so many events that even if you dont get into the collegiate cats it's really no big deal.

Also alex, we're not all super humans.  Tongue

Yes there are collegiate races, but your club has to be a member of USAT, which we are not. And blah blah blah so we should work on that. I am also doing the Rookie Tri on May 12th. It will be a fun race. It is in New Braunsfels. As far as why nobody broke 30 min, well you would have to have an average of above 25mph, and then you would have to run. So you can't go all out other wise you will not be able to run after. For the record running fast after biking really really sucks hard core. The conditions on Saturday it was flat with a little head wind on the way out. On sunday same course just longer, except there was a major major headwind, I would have rather taken 30 lashes with a nine tail whip.
