I would like to compete in the 2008 College Nationals at the University of Alambama. I am not exactly sure when it is, but I do know that we need to beomce a USAT club. So I was kind of wanting to see what everything thought about that and if anybody would want to do this with me. I know all of yall are busy so and that your main dedication is to cycling. I would be happy to head up getting us as a club. Just let me know

So for those that were in the meeting know, Nationals is at University of Alabama. It will be some time in aprilish. It is a 1.5K swim, 40k bike, 10k run. So it will be exciting. There are a couple of things that we need to do before but we still have some time on them.

Not to my knowledge, you just have to meet the qualification that I said in the meeting about being a full time student

we will need to know who (full time student) is available and interested in racing this event on April 19, packet pick up is Friday the 18.  As of today (Sunday) registration is 95% full that means there are only 50 slots left.  You must be a USAT annual member.  To obtain membership visit https://www.usatmembership.com/default.aspx

I have created a team account for University of Houston on active.com  I setup a password and team code for us to register with when we know who is participating.

The triathlon is in Alabama and involves a 1.5km swim, 40k bike, and 10k run

Here is a breakdown of last years winning times with fastest times in each category

      female      male      fastest
swim      0:20:12      0:17:25      0:15:32
T1      0:01:45      0:01:17      0:01:12
bike      1:03:42      0:59:01      0:57:11
T2      0:00:49      0:00:36      0:00:36
run      0:36:16      0:33:49      0:33:15
Total      2:02:44      1:52:07
