A 17 year old kid (and a coupe of his friends) spent all summer long since the June 29th release of the iphone, to hack into it so that it can be unlocked and used on any cell phone network. It took a total of 500 hours, which is 8 hours a day since the release. Owner of CertiCell gave him a Nissan 350z, 3 new iphones, and offer for a paid consulting job at his company. There are no plans to commercialize or spread the hack at this point.
