Go to www.kenyanway.com.  There are sub 3-hour marathoners in the group, all the way to 5 hour marathon pacers.  Not to say you have to train for a marathon though.  All you have to do is be able to run a 5k and you'll be able to do the workout.  It's a really supportive group too

Glad to see the running interest and yes, the Kenyan Way is a great program (led by a great runner) that will improve your time from 5k's to marathons.

Today I will run 4-6 miles easy along Buffalo Bayou starting at Spotts Park (Heights/Waugh and Memorial) around 5pm

Here are my running plans for the next few days – rain or shine. I can use some company, so post back here or call me if you want join me.  We can try to work out a better time if this schedule doesn’t work for you…

Friday: 10 miles at marathon pace at Memorial Park around 6pm

Saturday: 20 miles in Conroe around 7am, maybe you guys can join our scholarship sponsor WCC for a cycling ride  Wink

Sunday: “and God rested the seventh day”

Monday: 4-6 mile hill workout at Spotts Park around 5am, then 4-6 miles easy at Rice University/Herman Park around 5pm. For a little added incentive, I'll treat you to a SMOOTHIE for those that join me on the easy run Monday afternoon  Grin

Tuesday: need for speed at Memorial Park around 6pm, you can bike afterwards…

Wednesday: easy 8 mile Heights Loop starting at my house around 6pm, you're welcome to stay for supper if you'd like...

Thursday: 4-6 mile hill workout along Buffalo Bayou at Shepherd around 6pm

Looks to be that I'm going to be running with Joe a lot over the next few months...

...even though I have slightly retired from distance running after the four texas marathons. Smiley
