Anyone take or have experience with Fish Oils and/or Glucosamine?  I think I am going to start taking these for joint health.  Just looking for some feedback.

glucosamine is the shizzle.  it has kept my creaky old lady knees from dying of two months of single speed workouts.

Do you take just Glucosamine, or something like a combined vitamin.

You need to take glucosaime and chondritin mix. I used to take Move Right and I really enjoyed it.

Holy crap, there is a big 2 for 1 sale at Kroger on West Gray.  I got two 80ct. bottles of Osteo glucosamine bioflex for $21.95 and then 2 bottles of Nature Made 120 ct. fish oil (1200mg) for only $9.99.  I saved over $30.

As I understand it the effects are pretty minimal unless you're suffering from osteoarthritis or something... the amount of G&C you'd have to intake is pretty huge..  i took a few joint support supps before... both in pill form and in mixes and never saw any worthwhile benefits.

fish oil is great though.

I have arthritis in both of my knees and used glucosamine/chrondroitin with great success. I was running alot at the time of use, and after 3 months of use I could really feel a difference. However, once I started cycling I no longer needed it. Right now, I take an Omega 3-6-9 supplement in the morning and I have noticed a slight increase in recovery time after rides.

So far so good with the knees and ankles.  After having problems off and on through my running in the past years, I haven't felt any discomfort in them since taking this.  Maybe its mental...or maybe I am mental...but it seems like it is helping.  I did strain something in my foot though, so I am on a little break.
