I thought that stuff was for body builders and stuff? I mean I don't think we use up enough muscle to need that, do we?

thats some good stuff, its not gonna build muscle, it repairs what you worked out, if your at the gym high reps low weight, yeah, you'll get mass, but if your choppin it up out on the road or running, it'll hit your legs. its cool
its a lil pricey though, for my buck a good 100% whey protein is sufficient, taste isnt that far off of MM, and if your that weak a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.

Dido, Apex makes a recovery drink that taste better, but is also high in sugar, best bet get something that has about 30-40% protein, 60-65% carbohydrates. Make sure that you stay away from the processed sugars. HFCS is a bad bad bad oh yea bad thing.

muscle milk is a buttload of saturated fat and sugar
i drink stuff like isopure, myoplex, etc
no fluff, pure protein... put a little low fat milk in it, maybe a banana, and you're good to go.
word to the wise, stay away from muscle milk unless you're skin and bones.

Apex is a sister brand of 24 hour fitness, the markup is ridiculous.. and the products are.. lackluster to say the least, avoid it if possible.

I thought that stuff was for body builders and stuff? I mean I don't think we use up enough muscle to need that, do we? I would probably make sure you drink a protein shake before and after any lengthy ride to prevent catabolic response. 200-400 calories and about 25-40 grams of protein depending if you have a peepee or a hoohoo.
