What do people think of rollers? I was thinking about using them as they seem like they might be slightly less boring than a trainer...Any thoughts?

it depends on your definition of boring, you have to stay focused so you don't fall off the sides of them. So in that respect they are less boring.

That is pretty much what I meant by less boring, also I have heard they help improve bike handling for the same reason.

My only reservation is that what makes spinning in place whether on a trainer or rollers is that you are in one place. That said, I would be afraid of getting bored or distracted and fall off even though I am supposed to be balancing. But thats just me. I am bad enough on a treadmill.

Balancing on rollers is hard when you start. You need to work really hard to keep your form right and you can't look to the sides otherwise you meet the ground. With out a doubt it does teach you to keep your lines properly AND minimize flouts or slight shifting that can result from pedaling.

I just got done doing a recovery ride on my rollers. An hour and a half on this thing made me crazier then I actually am.
