It's not the first time, and I'm pretty sure it wont be the last...unfortunately.

Yea...Sorry Athar.
After getting last-minute messages in the am telling me people needed to rest and weren't going, I wasn't going to be enough of a team to pull you--when I've never done more than 70 miles. Plus, by the time I talked to you to try to get you to do a later ride in the Woodlands, it was too late for me to gather my stuff and try to drive to Katy and make it there with enough time to reg and everything.

I saw Fred last night, how did he manage?  Still a beast I presume?

Yea, Fred is still a beast...He did pretty well, but he cheated since he rode his titty bike. I want to say he finished in around 5hours. I was riding with him for a while, but the group split when the routes changed for the 60 and 100miles. I first went on the 60 and then turned around and went to the 100. I lost Fred, and ended up with some other people.

I didn't feel well. I tried to go biking in the morning and I felt really weak.

when izzy msgd me telling me he didn't feel well, I talked to Nate and told him I'd still do the ride, but that it would be him and I--wasn't sure Athar was going at the time. I also told him I'd never done more than 70 and we decided it would be best to forego the Katy ride.
I felt bad b/c he'd taken off work to ride with "the team" and no one was feeling up to it...
but it's fine, he'll get in a few rides with the team before he leaves.

I think he'll be riding Tues with us.

wow I have never seen plans for a ride fall apart so badly...kinda funny...yet disturbing.  I think there needs to be a rule that if you confirm that you are going to do a ride you cant back out last minute unless you are on FIRE!

My buddy and I will be doing this ride again this year. Last year was awesome and its for a great cause. If anyone would like to join us let me know. 514. 943. 9509. Call me and we can meet up in the parking lot before taking off. We are doing the century ride and aiming for 4 hours. The more the better.
